Here, you’ll find the latest and greatest on cornea development as well as opportunities to research in the Lwigale Lab.

Dr. Lwigale joined the Department of Biosciences at Rice University in 2008, then called the Biochemistry and Cell Biology Department. Since then, the lab has been making great strides to decipher the molecular mechanisms that drive the development of the cornea. We use a number of complementary model systems including mouse, quail, and chick.
